Reverge VR travels to Ottawa to speak to Canadian Parliament

For the first time ever, the Consumer Technology Association (CTA) held a reception and tech demo on Parliament Hill in Ottawa, Canada to raise awareness about technology issues on behalf of its 160+ members in Canada.

The event provided Reverge VR an opportunity  to showcase and educate key policy makers in the Canadian government on Virtual and Augmented Reality.

The policy makers in attendance included:

  • NDP MP Brian Masse, Vice-Chair, Standing Committee on Industry, Science and Technology / Critic for Innovation, Science and Economic Development
  • The Office of the Hon. Jim Carr, Minister of Natural Resources (Deborah Elson, Senior Policy Advisor + Office of Energy Efficiency, Equipment Division)
  • Meeting with Carmen Sylvain, Acting ADM, International Business Development
  • Meeting with the Office of the Hon. Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development (Hilary Travis, Special Assistant, Policy and Parvinder Sachdeva, Special Assistant)

Following the morning meetings, the Reverge VR team showcased their latest VR/AR content to over 220 guests at the world famous Chateau Laurier. Guests in attendance included 16 Members of Parliament, Senior Political Staff, Government of Canada officials, Members of the Media and Industry Partners.
